Thomas and Percy's Mountain Adventure (originally known as Thomas and Percy's Christmas Adventure in the UK) is a Thanksgiving special of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends. It originally aired on PBS in 1993.
Synopsis[]
If you see Thomas the Tank Engine puffing happily along the line someday, he might be heading towards the small town called Ulfstead that snuggled deep in the heart of Sodor to greet its villagers. One cold yet snowy November morning, Thomas announces that Thanksgiving is near. He also promises to bring his villager friends plenty of letters and parcels. However, a snowstorm arrives early that night a few days later, and the whole island is covered in thick snow by morning on the day before Thanksgiving.
The engines find work difficult and some have to clear snow from the line while the workmen hack away the frozen banks of ice. Thomas and Percy are collecting important Thanksgiving mail from the harbor. Thomas says he'll need an extra mail car since there's lots of mail for Ulfstead. Percy is unhappy that he can't help, but his chance comes when Thomas is forced to give Percy his job in favor of another at the big station. Thomas is forced to give Percy his job in favor of another for Sir Topham Hatt, but Percy is delighted and sets off for the village.
As Percy makes his way, he and his driver see a fogman who flags him down. He explains that they need snowplows, workmen, and a helicopter since the village is snowed under. Percy has to leave his cars on the sidings and go back quickly. Thomas and Percy work together to save the villagers, and Harold and Terence join in; Terence clears the snow, and Harold drops their Thanksgiving dinners. They thank the team and Thomas remembers that Percy has left the mail train in a siding. Just as Percy left to fetch the mail train, Toby and Henrietta arrive with hot drinks for the villagers.
That night at Ulfstead, Henrietta is loaded up with paint pots and parcels, and then Toby sneaks her along with the villagers on board into the yard. Next morning, when the engines wake up, they are surprised to find the sheds decorated. They all agree that it is the best Thanksgiving they have ever had.
